Popunie is a foundation who’s main objective is the sustaining, promotion and stimulation of amateur popmusic in the greater Rotterdam area. Since 1985 we organize and render services to popmusicians, poporganizations, venues, local authorities and to all those who are interested in popmusic. Our most important employer is the local government of Rotterdam.

Our objectives are:

• Supporting and stimulating the popmusic scene in het Rotterdam area.
• Collecting and sharing information to stimulate knowledge and expertise.
• Talentdevelopment.
• Vivification of the Rotterdam City Center with livemusic.
• Talentpromotion.
• Supporting cultural entrepeneurship.
